Proposed Development

Below are drawings depicting the proposed development. Actual plans have not been drawn up by Embrey Development. The Zoning Commission meets Wed. Feb. 13 at 1pm. Council Chamber, 2nd Floor, North End of City Hall, 200 Texas St. 76102. This meeting is strictly about the rezoning request by the developer, not about the development itself.

Approval or Denial of the proposed zoning change from commercial to Urban Residential by the Zoning Commission is only a RECOMMENDATION to the City Council. City Council makes the final determination on the outcome of a zoning case. City Council will meet at 7pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

I was unaware that our neighborhood was not registered with the city and as a result we did not receive the official notification. Ryan did start the registration process last week but forms stating our support/opposition were due today by 5pm. I do intend to be at the public hearing on Wed. and will try to get our neighborhoods consensus accepted.

I do not though have consensus one way or another from a majority of the neighborhood. Please email me at s.becky@att.net with your vote of opposition or support. If you strongly oppose this change in zoning and/or the development you need to attend the meeting to voice your opinion.
