As some of you may be aware, the Fort Worth Police were active in River Park very early this morning around 3:45 a.m. You may have seen a helicopter that hovered over the neighborhood doing a spotlight search for a period of about 30 minutes. There were also police on the ground searching door to door, primarily in the southwest corner of the neighborhood. One of the residents was able to speak with a police officer today to learn more details as to why they were in the neighborhood. Apparently, there was a car theft (not in our neighborhood) and the police were involved in a car chase after the suspect. The police lost track of the suspect and later found the stolen vehicle nearby our neighborhood. The suspect had fled the stolen vehicle and was believed to have had a presence in the southwest corner of River Park. Click Full Story for more information.

The Board of Directors is aware that some residents are having internet issues. The board and management are working with AT&T and Spectrum to possibly help find a resolution. At this time the information we have received from AT&T has been inconsistent regarding if and when fiber will be installed in the area. We will update the community when we have further information. Spectrum has stated that cable internet service is currently available to some, but not all River Park addresses. If you are interested in cable internet as a solution, you will need to contact Spectrum to see if this service is available at your address. On a different note, we hope you are enjoying the landscaping improvements that have been made in recent months along with the painting of the light posts and front gate. Additionally, a camera has been installed at the front entrance for added security. The board is continually looking at improvements or repairs needed for River Park. With the ongoing nearby construction, wildlife has been displaced and has been seen in River Park more often recently. This includes feral cats as the number present in the neighborhood is increasing. Some residents are now experiencing problems due to the number of cats. Management will be working with the city and organizations on a catch and release program in which the cats are neutered or spayed. Many of these programs are not currently taking cats due to Covid-19. In the meantime please be thoughtful to your neighbors when considering feeding or taking care of the cats.
